The biggest culprit here is wheat and gluten-containing products, but sometimes dairy, corn or soy can be the offending substances. If these foods are removed from the diet, the eczema will often resolve. The best way to see if this applies to you is to stop eating all these foods (in all their forms) for a week or so and then reintroduce them one by one. If symptoms go away and then return when a food is reintroduced, you know that food is causing it.

Quite often chronic eczema sufferers have an allergy or sensitivity to a food or foods they commonly eat.
